Secure Backup - How To Order |
Before you can order your secure backup service you'll need to know how much data you want to backup. If you have all your important files in the one place (such as your My Documents folder) then just work out the size of that folder. You can do that under Windows by right-clicking on the folder and selecting Properties from the menu.
Secure backup keeps not only the current copy of your files but also the changes you make. Copies of all the changes and the files you delete are kept on the server for 7 days just in case you need them. To ensure you have enough space for that data as well we suggest you need a storage quota 10% greater than the amount of data you want to backup.
How Many ComputersWe'll need to know how many computers you want to backup to determine how to best solve your backup requirements. If you have multiple computers but they all access files stored on a central file server then that's just a single computer. If you have multiple computers at multiple locations we'll need to know how many different locations. We use all this information to work out the most cost-effective way to backup your data.
Your Internet ConnectionIt's great if you can tell us about the type and speed of your broadband Internet connection. We use this information, in combination with the other data about your requirements, to ensure that the service is going to perform to your satisfaction. We don't want to sell you a service that you aren't going to be happy with and the size of your Internet connection can play a very large part in the performance of your backups.
